In 1998 two children were borne into the world. A result of a rape, the woman insisted, but the father had taken the children. The idea of it all was preposterous. Everyone knew that Severus Snape was dead. Being hidden away from the world all those years must have unhinged Lily, but when James insisted that what his wife was saying was true the Wizarding World thought it was nothing short of a tragedy. The only one who believed them was Albus Dumbledore whose brother Aberforth and sister-in-law Anne had posed as Lily and James and had died for it. But the Wizarding World was too eager to believe that the world was at peace now that Voldemort was gone. Some seemed to have the sense to know that was too good to be true.
However, as Dumbledore tried to convince the Ministry that the Death Eaters may return with a vengeance no one took him seriously except Aurors Harry Potter and Ronald Weasley and the Misuse of Magic Head; Hermione Weasley. The rest insisted that Voldemort was dead and gone and the worst was over. They were wrong, very wrong.
For twenty years the Death Eaters were in France regrouping. Meanwhile Nymphadora Lupin suddenly disappeared along with her cousin, Sirius. Alecto had found the resurrection stone not knowing what it was. Rodolphus Lestrange recognized it for what it was and brought back seven fallen warriors back in the year of nineteen ninety eight; Severus Snape, Lord Voldemort, Bellatrix Lestrange, Evan Rosier, Jr., Camden Mulciber, and Antonin Dolohov. For twenty years they trained waiting for their moment to strike. Not to mention they bred like rabbits in that time. Meanwhile, Wizarding England was convinced that the Potter's were nutters along with Dumbledore. Everything was at peace, Scrimgeour insisted. Nothing could go wrong or so they thought. Four years ago there were rumors that there were strange witches and wizards in the dark, some of which had familiar faces.
But it wasn't until four years ago when Tom Riddle killed Rufus Scrimegour in the alleyway sending the Dark Mark above the Ministry that anyone believed that Voldemort was back. Leonidas Snape came from the shadows and introduced himself to Dumbledore insisting that he wanted to join the Order. His mother was pleased to see that her son was on the right side unlike his father. But Lily asked, "What of your sister?"
"She's one of the Dark Lord's assassins. Apparently as talented as our father," the boy ground out bitterly.
Two years later Lily would see exactly what her son meant. Linda Snape, Violetta Riddle, and Abraxas Malfoy would break into the Order Headquarters of Grimmauld Place, having the address from Sirius' daughter who only told them to prevent her brother from being killed. After obtaining this information, Violetta killed Sirius' daughter and Abraxas killed the son as Linda provided ample distraction for the muggles in the form of explosions. Unfortunately, for the three young Death Eaters there weren't many Order Members there. But Linda came face-to-face with Olympe Hagrid. "Hello, Olympe," she scoffed to the woman who had called her a filthy disgrace to the Wizarding World a few months previous, "you know I always keep my promises? Because I do!" The pair dueled and Lily shrieked as her friend fell dead, but that didn't stop Linda. She was on a roll and she went on to kill Percy Weasley. Which amused her since Violetta and Abraxas hadn't been able to keep up with her - especially considering that Violetta was a Riddle.
But when Abraxas pointed his wand at Lily, Linda lowered it and insisted "no" in a low growl.
"Why not?" Lily demanded. "Am I not good enough to die?"
"Of course not. Not only did the Dark Lord not command it, but --" she gave a long pregnant pause.
Meanwhile Severus had cornered Dumbledore in the street. Albus murmured something about being betrayed and the man merely smirked. "Farewell, old man." A prominent shining light in the Wizarding World was now gone.
Linda grabbed Lily's chin in her hand roughly. "I want you and the others to leave with these nightmares." She then turned to her brother Leonidas. He had information that she needed and they both knew it. "You don't have to die, just tell me what I need to know, Leo." She stroked hair from his dark eyes. "Come on, Leo, you don't have to die like a bloody martyr."
"I'm sorry Linda. You may forget me. Promise to depart, just promise one thing. Kiss my eyes and LAY ME TO SLEEP."
With tears stinging her eyes she lifted her wand. "Avada Kedavra." He was gone.
